The A330-300 is Airbus' long range twin engine wide body, in service since 1994 and still in production in its A330-900neo form. With a 60.3 m wing, a 63.7 m fuselage and a maximum takeoff weight of 233 tonnes, it carries up to 440 passengers over 11,750 km, the aircraft of choice for medium and long haul routes across Europe, Asia and the Americas.
This edition models the Rolls-Royce Trent 772B-60 powered A330-343: the Airbus fly by wire flight deck shared with the A320 and A340 families, two four wheel main gear bogies, a three spool high bypass engine and the systems that go with a wide body, from a 97 tonne fuel system to eight independently cooled brakes.
Every switch, knob, lever and push button works, with its own sound. PFD and ND with all display modes, the ECAM engine/warning display and every system page, two MCDUs, FCU, overhead and pedestal, laid out to the real panel dimensions, with adjustable display and panel lighting. Built for mouse, touch and VR.
A complete electrical network with batteries, generators, buses and individual loads; three hydraulic circuits; bleed air, air conditioning and pressurisation; a fuel system with variable payload and a correct centre of gravity; eight braked wheels with a thermal model per bogie. The flight warning computer watches all of it and raises the right ECAM caution at the right flight phase.
The Trent 772B-60 is simulated thermodynamically, fan, compressors, burner, turbines and reversers under a FADEC, and scaled to its real 316 kN. A dedicated Trent sound set covers spool up, idle whine, takeoff roar and reverse, played in 3D from the engines, the cabin and the flight deck, with authentic altitude, V1 and PITCH PITCH callouts.
A multibody airframe that flexes under load, Airbus normal, alternate and direct laws with all envelope protections, autoland, auto brake and ground spoilers. Outside: a high resolution model with animated doors, gear, bogies, flaps, slats and spoilers, dynamic exterior lights and fourteen airline liveries.
